Old appliance haul-away from basements, kitchens and garages
Appliance size, weight, and location matter. A washing machine in a basement has different access needs from an appliance already on a ground-level loading area. Tell us the type of equipment, the path to the exit, and whether stairs or narrow doorways are involved.
Recycling arrangements depend on the appliance and its components. Refrigerators and other cooling equipment need special consideration because they may contain refrigerants. We review the item rather than assuming that every appliance can be handled as ordinary scrap metal.
What can your appliance recycling include?
- Washing machines and dryers
- Unwanted kitchen appliances
- Refrigerators and freezers for separate review
- Appliances left after a property cleanout
Preparing for appliance recycling
Have water, gas, and electrical connections safely disconnected by an appropriately qualified person where needed. Empty the appliance and disclose leaks, damage, or remaining contents. Do not assume utility disconnection is included in hauling.
