Storage unit cleanouts before a move-out deadline
Share the unit size, approximate fullness, and the kinds of contents inside. Furniture, boxed belongings, appliances, and electronic equipment have different handling needs. Identify belongings to retain before authorizing a complete clearout so useful or personal items are not swept into the removal scope.
Facility access matters as much as the contents. Gates, elevators, loading areas, operating hours, and rules for service vehicles can affect the job. CM does not resolve ownership disputes, remove locks without authorization, or promise that a facility will waive its access requirements.
What can your storage unit cleanouts include?
- Approved stored household belongings
- Furniture and bulky storage items
- Boxes and miscellaneous clutter
- Business storage contents for review
Preparing for storage unit cleanouts
Confirm your authority to remove the contents and arrange access with the facility. Set aside documents and valuables, and communicate unit location, elevator availability, and loading restrictions.
