Light demolition with a clear removal and cleanup plan
Describe the fixture or small structure you want removed, the materials it contains, and what needs to remain in place. Non-structural dismantling, selected outdoor fixtures and small removal projects may be suitable for light demolition after review. This is not a blanket offer of structural demolition, whole-building teardown or licensed electrical and plumbing work.
Photos of the complete project, attachment points and surroundings help CM understand access and likely hauling needs. Tell us about utilities, shared walls, concrete foundations and any suspected hazardous materials before work is arranged. Utility disconnection must be handled by appropriately qualified professionals, and structural conditions or uncertain materials may require specialist assessment.
Permits and property-owner approvals depend on the location and scope. Confirm applicable requirements with the local building department and agree who is responsible before work begins. Suspected asbestos, lead-containing materials, chemicals and other regulated waste require separate assessment and approved handling; they should never be mixed into a general debris load.
CM serves Connecticut statewide, including Fairfield, Trumbull, Greenwich, Ansonia, New Haven, Westport, and Bridgeport. Your estimate should identify what will be dismantled, which debris will be loaded and hauled, access arrangements and the expected cleanup condition. Repairs, reconstruction, excavation and finishing work are not implied by a light-demolition removal quote.
What can your light demolition services include?
- Photos, dimensions and materials of the proposed removal
- What is attached, structural or connected to utilities
- Access, occupied areas and nearby items to protect
- Permit or property-manager approval requirements
- Debris quantity and the cleanup condition you want
Preparing for light demolition services
Do not begin dismantling connected fixtures, structural components or unknown materials yourself. Arrange a scope review, identify utilities and obtain required approvals. Keep the work area clear only where it is safe to do so.
